THE CONCEPT

Guests at Duo’s Taqueria enjoy Mexican food in an immersive atmosphere. All of our dishes are crafted to pay homage to classic Mexican traditions, using ancient techniques and ingredients. Our bar features over 75 rare and hard to find Tequilas and Mezcals, owned exclusively by Mexican families or corporations. Our walls showcase art from contemporary Mexican artists. We aim to make every visit a fusion of food, language and culture.

The Cuisine

Through her menu, Chef Marcella Ogrodnik explores the culinary heart of Mexico City, which is itself a melting pot of cuisines from Mexico’s 31 states. From street foods like tacos al pastor, to regional antojitos like esquites, and traditional plates like barbacoa de borrego, with every dish we aim to celebrate Mexico’s proud culinary heritage.

Masa, which is central to Mexican cuisine, is also central to our restaurant. We source our corn from farms in Mexico and Pennsylvania that specialize in growing heirloom varieties. We turn this corn into masa using a thousands-year-old technique called nixtamalization in order to ensure our tortillas, tamales, and other dishes are as fresh, nutritious, and as tasty as possible.

The Cocktails
and Bar

We serve a blend of classic Mexican cocktails alongside innovative drinks developed in-house. Tequilas and Mezcals are central to our bar program, and we work to only highlight agave-based spirits that are 100% owned and operated by Mexican families or corporations, helping truly artisanal products to reach our guests. We create cocktail offerings that both honor Mexican traditions and build a bridge for guests who are unfamiliar with Mexican spirits to gain knowledge and curiosity.
